  • Acute Illness Management.
  • Chronic Disease Management (asthma, diabetes, heart disease etc).
  • Health and lifestyle advice including healthy eating, cholesterol management, exercise and smoking cessation.
  • NHS health checks for patients aged between 40 and 74 years.
  • On site blood tests including rheumatology drug monitoring.
  • Anticoagulation monitoring (Warfarin and Direct Oral Anticoagulants).
  • Blood pressure checks and advice.
  • ECG Recording.
  • Lung function assessment (Spirometry).
  • Wound care including stitch removal and dressings.
  • Women’s health including cervical screening, menopause monitoring,
    breast self-examination advice and pessary changes.
  • Family planning services including contraception, coils and implants.
  • Antenatal and postnatal services in conjunction with our midwifery team.
  • Childhood and teenage immunisations.
  • Immunisations including flu, shingles and pneumonia for ‘at risk’ individuals.
  • Men’s health including prostate cancer care.
  • Hormone implants as advised by the hospital for certain types of cancer.
  • Palliative and end of life care supported by our Community Nursing Team and Macmillan Nurses.
  • Carer support.
  • Care home visits.
  • New patient medicals.
  • Foreign travel advice and vaccination (8 weeks before travel for maximum protection). Some vaccinations incur a fee. Please consult our list of fees in reception and on our website.
  • Minor surgery including some joint injections.
