Travel information

If you require any travel vaccinations, you will need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements.

In order to ensure the most up to date and comprehensive advice is available, the Belvoir Health Group will only provide services if patients have accessed www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk prior to their appointment.

Please refer to their website as a first port of call for travel queries. The website is run by the NHS and provides detailed information regarding travel, vaccinations and anti-malarial medication and will often answer all of your questions:

Fit for travel (online NHS advice).

You will need to book an appointment with one of our nurses if you have unanswered questions or if you need any immunisations. Please print the information relevant to your travel destination from Fit for travel and bring this information with you to your appointment.

Please note that certain immunisations and anti-malarial prophylaxis are NOT available on the NHS. Our nurses will do their best to guide you as to where to seek help if you require private input.

The following vaccinations are provided free of charge:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Typhoid
  • Combined hepatitis A and typhoid
  • Tetanus, diphtheria and polio given as combined vaccine
  • Cholera
  • Combined measles, mumps and rubella (MMR)
